COMPANY PROFILE OF SAKARI SAUSO LTD

Our family has been manufacturing top quality leather gloves for over 75 years. My grandfather received his professional tuition from German masters in the 1920's and founded his own glove factory in Finland in 1929. He was proud of his professional skill, and demanded the same standard of quality from his employees. The leather glove markets soon became aware of the quality related to Sauso gloves.

My grandfather's inheritance of skill and his passion for quality is even today of great significance to us. How do we keep up to it?

All our gloves are manufactured in our own factory in Pécs, Hungary where the skills and methods of the old glove masters are still in-tact. Because the leather required for very fine gloves is thin, soft, elastic and special, it needs to be handled with utmost care. This old process requires very high craftmanship and is known to very few factories today. It takes about 3-4 years to master the table cutting technique, and when using it the daily production is reduced to some 35 pairs of gloves. Only a few factories today know and use this process, which requires very high craftsman skills.

We use only Ethiopian hair sheep which is the best possible sheep leather for gloves manufacturing. We purchase the hair sheep from tanneries which are specialized in this kind of leather and combine the strengths of each tannery, e.g. certain colours, finishing techniques etc. Peccary, South-American wild pig, is another fine material we use for our products.

For the lining of gloves we can offer very high-quality materials such as: silk, wool, cashmere, rabbit and slink lamb. The seam types we use most often, which are also the most demanding ones, are pique seams (so-called stepp seams) and hand-made seams. Other seams can also be used if needed. Our principle of quality and service also covers the fitting of gloves. For women we have two different styles: standard style and lady with longer fingers. In our gloves we use the finest trimmings with quality finish.

All our poppers and rivets are made exclusively with leather covering. We produce a wide range of trendy and traditional gloves. Our designers monitor closely the international trends and keep-up with latest styles and fashions. Our aim is clearly to design our products and remain among the top producers of high quality gloves and be very competitive.
